I am a being of love. I cultivate the liberation of minds through shared stories. And I heal using touch, creation, and presence. I learn and teach heightening one’s experience of the now with both physical sensuality and enlightened consciousness.  I constantly seek the limitlessness of my individuality, through the understanding that I only exist in oneness with all beings. I am the journey, the destination, and your companion.

I usually hate my writing when I go back to it months later, but this…this still hits.

"If you want to awaken all of humanity, then awaken all yourself. If you want to eliminate the suffering in the world, then eliminate all that is dark and negative in yourself. Truly, the greatest gift you have to give is that of your own self-transformation."

- Lao Tzu (via boricuanegrita)

I am changing my understanding of and approach to

Goals.

Do I really need them? Are goals more burden than motivation? I haven’t accomplished any of the things I planned for myself in high school: graduate valedictorian, attend University of Miami, pledge Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, join a dance team for a pro basketball league, study abroad, volunteer with the Peace Corps…

But I am growing into the goddess I was born to be.

The thing is, no matter what, you have to know what you want to get it. I have to experience, and be honest with myself about these experiences, to actually recognize and progress on my path.

I guess sometimes the best way to figure out what you really want is to not get it. Even with the self-knowledge that I am not the most “driven” person, telling me no is unacceptable.

But it happens.

It seems counter-productive to set a goal—it feels like an attempt to dictate. But it is necessary to learn myself enough to see the path that I am already on, both guiding and following.

The universe knows best. But the universe is in me.
